I love the hell out of this, Shepard Fairey and the OBEY crew’s new art aims to bring attention to the political cause affecting Native Americans – focusing on the ‘Great Sioux Nation’ tribe filing suit for monetary compensation against the US Federal Government in 1992 for the loss of their land – ‘Sacred Paha Sapa’ (the Black Hills). That very same land is now: Mount Rushmore National Memorial & Badlands National Park but the only presence of Native Americans within that area is a single statue of their leader Crazy Horse.

Basically unresolved matters between the Native American tribes and the US Government.
